Nicholas – The Oranmore Bell

Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Oranmore

The bell in this church has been named NICHOLAS by the schoolchildren of our parish.

It weighs 500kg and was cast in Poland by ROYAL BELLS – PRZEMYŚL.
It was consecrated by HIS GRACE, DR. EAMON MARTIN Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland.

The people of Oranmore caused me to be made at Przemyśl, Poland for the glory of God and the salvation of His people in the Holy Year of Mercy MMXVI.

Come ring out our joy to the Lord
Hail the rock who saves us
Come before him giving thanks
