“The reception of the sacrament of Confirmation completes and complements the sacrament of baptism. When receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized find a special strength coming from the Holy Spirit which leads to a firm profession of Faith. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.”(1)
The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated on twice in Oranmore and once in Maree annually.
Preparation for Confirmation normally takes place in the parish schools.
